Laundry Lady up for four category awards (plus People’s Choice)
The Laundry Lady, which provides mobile laundry services across Queensland, NSW and Victoria, is recognised in the Women’s Champion, Digital Innovation, Service Business, and Business Pivot categories.
The AusMumpreneur Awards, presented by The Women’s Business School, celebrate Australian mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation.
They recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
Susan, who left her corporate career to pursue her startup dream, knows the importance of flexibility in the workplace, especially for busy mums.
“I wanted to help other mums struggling with the same work-life balance by creating a work from home business that could be replicated all over Australia,” she says.
Laundry Lady has grown over the years from a solo operation to a team of 45-plus contractors, plus a head office of six employees based in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
“Our next milestone is a team of 100 contractors, offering that same quality and affordable wash and fold service for home, holiday rentals, businesses and National Disability Insurance Scheme clients.
“We are thrilled to be named finalist in not one, but four categories as part of this year’s Awards, and I’d like to congratulate all our fellow nominees and finalists.”
Last year, Laundry Lady won Silver in the Digital Innovation category (QLD/NT) for its online booking platform and website.
Customers are able to book their washing, drying, folding and ironing services at the click on the button, making Laundry Lady accessible, easy and contactless.
